Shorter Queues, More Fun
Following months of careful observation and nurturing, Ocean Park has been gradually introducing the cubs to new experiences, always prioritising their well-being and development. This phased introduction approach has been crucial in ensuring the cubs’ smooth transition to new environments and continued growth.
Initially, the cubs were introduced to visitors in the Midland of Giant Panda Adventure, allowing animal caretakers to closely monitor their progress and provide support. Now, Ying Ying joins her cubs in this zone, enabling valuable bonding time within the habitat. Moving forward, both the Midland and the Alpine zone close to the attraction entrance will be utilised to host the twins and Ying Ying together, providing the cubs with a more complex and stimulating environment to explore and practise survival skills under the direct guidance of their mother.
“This carefully planned, step-by-step approach is essential for the cubs’ development,” said Howard Chuk, Head of Zoological Operations and Conservation at Ocean Park Corporation. “By gradually introducing them to new experiences and allowing them to learn from their mother in a more complex environment, we are fostering their physical abilities and ensuring their well-being. This mother-led approach is most ideal for the cubs’ growth and development, until they turn two to three years old and separate from the mother to live their own lives.”
Panda-monium alert: more time with the panda family
To enhance the visitor experience and allow for more quality time with the panda family, Giant Panda Adventure is implementing a new timed-entry system. From 22 March onwards, visitors can obtain a time ticket which enables everyone approximately three minutes of dedicated time in front of the Midland panel to appreciate the adorable interactions between the panda twins and their mother. After that, visitors can adore Le Le the panda father’s chillax philosophy as they proceed to the next habitat zone.
Don’t miss out the golden monkey baby girl
Adding to the excitement, the golden monkey baby newborn is growing up in light speed and showcasing its energetic side to visitors! Born on 16 January 2025, this precious addition to the Ocean Park family is the first-ever female golden snub-nosed monkey offspring born in Hong Kong. The Park invites the public to meet the golden monkey family alongside their giant panda neighbours, An An and Ke Ke, at the Hong Kong Jockey Club Sichuan Treasures. The two species live within the same ecosystem in the wild and each have their own allure despite the stark contrast in activity levels.

Ocean Park is excited to introduce the ‘2-Can-Go’ Adult Package exclusively for Hong Kong residents.
