Jelajahi Ocean Park.
Ocean Park Corporation (OPC) fully supports the Development Blueprint for Hong Kong's Tourism Industry 2.0 (Blueprint 2.0) newly announced by the Government and is committed to aligning with the four development initiatives proposed. OPC will leverage its expertise and networks to collaboratively promote the “+Tourism” concept, highlighting a deep integration of culture, sports, ecology and mega events with tourism. We strive to work in unison with all sectors to realise the vision of “tourism is everywhere” in Hong Kong.
“As one of Hong Kong's most beloved tourist destinations, Ocean Park has been a driving force behind the city’s tourism development by infusing the industry with new elements. The increase of giant pandas in Hong Kong from two to six in 2024 has ignited a citywide panda craze. We welcome the specific measures on promoting panda tourism as outlined in Blueprint 2.0. By harnessing this enthusiasm, Ocean Park will introduce more giant panda-related experiences and activities as well as merchandise, cultural and tourism products, including Hong Kong-inspired handicrafts and souvenirs,” said Paulo Pong, Chairman of Ocean Park Corporation.
Pong added, “In line with the Park’s development direction announced in 2021, OPC will continue to capitalise on its strengths in conservation and education along with its geographical advantages to develop unique tourism initiatives for Hong Kong. The Ocean Park resort is a vital tourist resource in Hong Kong. We will closely monitor the expansion of Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter and other Island Tourism initiatives while actively collaborating with other attractions to create synergies that will draw more visitors to the Southern District. With the Adventure Zone set to open in 2028, Ocean Park will offer a more diverse range of experiences as a resort destination. We look forward to helping attract more high-value overnight visitors to Hong Kong and further enhance Hong Kong's position as a world-class premier tourism destination.”
