オーシャンパークのことをもっとよく知ろう!
Ocean Park Corporation today announced the redevelopment of its North Pole Encounter into a brand-new marine mammal conservation centre. This project reaffirms Ocean Park’s unwavering commitment to marine conservation, education and research, creating a dynamic, immersive hub designed to inspire a deeper connection between visitors and the ocean, and foster a new generation of ocean stewards.
The new exhibit will elevate the visitor experience by integrating insights from Ocean Park's extensive marine mammal research and rescue efforts. Through interactive zones and immersive learning facilities, visitors will explore marine mammal behaviours, understand critical challenges facing ocean ecosystems like climate change and plastic pollution, and learn practical ways to contribute to conservation. The new facility will serve as a unique platform for fostering greater awareness and understanding of vital ocean life.
To facilitate this renovation, North Pole Encounter has closed its doors to the public, with the grand reopening of the new marine mammal conservation centre slated for the first quarter of 2027. During this period, visitors are invited to explore other exhibits in the Park and visit its wide range of animal ambassadors, with seals and sea lions waiting for all at the Pacific Pier.
Crucially, this new centre will amplify Ocean Park’s proven capabilities in marine mammal research and rescue, translating scientific advancements into tangible conservation action. The transformation is also expected to solidify Hong Kong’s position in marine conservation and inspire global efforts towards a sustainable future for our oceans.
